Leesburg Optimist Club

Friend of Youth

            Membership

Adult volunteers join Optimist Clubs to conduct positive service projects in their communities aimed at providing a helping hand to youth.  With their upbeat attitude, Optimist Club members help empower young people to be the best that they can be.  Meeting the needs of young people in communities worldwide, Optimist Clubs have been “Bringing Out the Best in Kids” since 1919.

Optimist International has several purposes, including to:

1.   Promote an active interest in good government and civic affairs

2.   Inspire respect for the law

3.   Promote patriotism and work for international accord

4.   Aid and encourage the development of youth, in the belief that the giving of one’s self in service to others will advance the well-being of humankind, community life and the world.

We are reaching out to local community and business leaders like you.  As a member of the Leesburg Optimist Club, you get the satisfaction of giving back to your community, the opportunity to form friendships with fellow like-minded citizens.  And the club generates energy, enthusiasm, and fresh ideas that come from new members.
